The levator labii superious alaeque nasi is a thin triangular muscle located on the side of the |nose|. It extends from the upper lip towards the inner edge of the occular |orbit| (orbit of the |eye|). This muscle draws the upper lip and |nose| upward and is most often used when expressing disdain or contempt.
